The Day Everybody Found Out

I have been trying very hard to keep it a secret... and I have been hugely successful in keeping it that way... it wasn't so hard after all, all I had to do was keep my mouth shut and don't tell... and nobody would know... and nobody knew... until today...

We had a college briefing this morning, and the Dean was giving the presentation... it was about the usual stuff... new staff, new student intake, accreditation... however, towards the end of his presentation, he showed a slide on 'other issues'... that was when it all happened... towards the end of the slide, he wrote 'Nadia Tan awarded scholarship by Japanese government to do her PhD'... I was like shit, he's not gonna do what I think he's gonna do is he... sure enough on the next slide, my worst fears was realized... there it was terpampang besar2 on the screen for every person in the COE to read... 'Mohd. Hafiz awarded ASEAN Scholarship to study at NTU, Singapore'... I was like fccuuukkkk... yet I just kept quiet, I covered my mouth, and tarik muka toya like nothing happened... one of my friends sitting close to me started asking questions... "Eh Hafiz mana ni... COIT ada orang nama Hafiz ke... department lain ada orang nama Hafiz ke?"... finally a few seconds later another friend turned to me and asked slowly... "Ko ke tu?"... I just smiled and nodded slowly... muahahaha... diorang semua kutuk aku lepas tuh... what a way to break the news... people started congratulating me after the presentation... all was good...

by the way, watched Mission Impossible III today... good movie
