Arsenal Fans Mourn

Yes... our worst fears have been realized today as it has been confirmed that Thierry Henry has signed with Barcelona to play for them next season... for a f*cking measly 16 million pounds... I can't believe they are getting him for that sum, when everyone else were willing to fork up more than 50 million to get his signature last season... he must be worth at least twice that amount... I mean he is up there with other footballing Gods like Zidane or Ronaldo...

If the rumors are true, this might mark the end of an era... as Arsene Wenger might follow suit next season... by refusing the renew his contract which ends next year, he himself is not trying to quell any of those rumors ... if he does leave next year, all the young talent he has nurtured up till now might follow him... particularly Cesc Fabregas who has openly admitted that he will go wherever Wenger goes... if Wenger does leave next year... that's it... that will spell the end of top flight football for Arsenal... and it will be the day I stop being an Arsenal fan... my favoritestestest player is gone... lets see how things fold up with my favorite manager... I hope he knows what he is doing

Reyes the Saviour

WOW!... this morning's Madrid - Mallorca game was a real thriller in every sense... tak rugi tengok... even Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Rafael Nadal was there... and like me, they were all rooting for Real... I just wanted Beckham to win something before he leaves...

Real had to win this game to win La Liga, as Barcelona was running rampant in their game against Gimnastic... things did not look good from the get go... Real was soon trailing by a goal after the 1st half... and to make things worse, they lost van Nilsterooy, their top goal scorer early in the 1st half due to injury...

When Capello subbed Reyes for Beckham in the 2nd half, I thought he was crazy... Beckham was having a good game, managed to strike the goal post from a free kick from an insane angle... and come on... this was his last game in a Madrid jersey... however that move turned out to be a stroke of genius as Reyes scored Real's 1st and 3rd goal... after Real's 1st goal... the flood gates just opened and everything just turned around... final score Real Madrid 3 - Mallorca 1... and even though Beckham did not finish the game... he got his standing ovation... and leaves Real with a La Liga title under his belt... finally :)

Swimming Oh Swimming...

Today is the day I tried swimming again after a 4 year hiatus... the last time I did any serious swimming was in my final semester at Michigan... by serious I mean 10 - 14 laps freestyle every other day... I thought I should try it once over here before I go home... maybe can turn it into a habit again...

Mula2 pergi dah la kena bayar nak masuk swimming pool... student pon kena bayar apa daaa... and then can only swim width wise, because the shallow end was closed for kids... did the first lap using a pull buoy... macam biasa warm up dulu... lepas tuh terus over confident tak nak pakai... half way tengah2 pool dah pancit... mak oii gaya nak lemas... bersepah2... hilang semua bunga2 langsung takde seni... but still managed to get to the other end... albeit separuh mati... lepas tuh tobat tak nak leave the pull buoy behind... in the end managed to do only 8 laps... width wise... sungguh memalukan... the fact that my goggles asyik banjir kat dalam did not help...

When I got out of the pool... mak oii lagi sekali badan rasa cam 10 kali ganda lagi berat dari biasa... actually it feels that way everytime lepas swimming... but dah lama sangat tak rasa camtuh, terkejut la pulak... my whole body was aching... still is, especially bahagian sayap bawah ketiak... pastuh masuk male changing room, baru teringat everyone goes commando kalau kat overseas... sosej fest tak ingat... elly mesti suka... anyway I'm not sure if I want to do this again... maybe I need a new pair of goggles... or maybe I should just stick to jogging.
